Excellent post! Yes to the showing up for your audience. If you don't, you lose people for sure. Clarity of communication and keeping commitments whether implied or stated is crucial to success, and stated is the gold standard. Say what you'll do and then do it! Thanks, Lyn!

Had a similar experience with Tammy Zonker of Transformers.....she asked people to set up 1-1 to talk about fundraising or something and after I gave my availability she never replied....am too small potatoes I guess. BTW I shared you on my FB page...

Thanks, David! Much appreciated -- and yeah, the ghosting by people whose businesses and crediblity are based on real, actual, human interactions wit their community is really astounding. I've hard from many people as a result of this post with stories just like yours. "Engagement" is relative, I guess. Just a word not a promise.
